Wash your hands frequently using warm water and soap, especially after attacks of diarrhea  Salmonella is contagious and ensure cleanliness for your safety and those around you.

Use activated charcoal at the earliest onset of food poisoning symptoms. Keep some at home, at all times in your medicine cabinet. Activated charcoal is a natural substance derived from the burnt remains of certain plants, and treated to make it extremely porous making it absorb the bacteria. It can be good for preventing dehydration and diarrhea.

Some experts suggest eating raw garlic to rid your system of the salmonella, the nutrients in garlic are antibacterial. Oregano is also an antibacterial, so this should also be used.

By following these easy steps you can minimize the harmful effects of salmonella poisoning which may otherwise be more prolonged.
